City Life...

Hi everyone! My time here has been wonderful so far. We got in the city last thursday at 4:30am and began orienting ourselves to the town. I am starting to get a good picture of how life is lived in Central Asia. It is beautiful, though a little hot still but am expecting rain this week! With the help of some friends I have hailed a few taxis to different parts of town. Basically anything with wheels is a taxi, just stick your hand out there and barter for the price (of course being safe as well). I have also taken the bus across town too :)
We have started to create English lesson plans to help teach. There is a great interest here to learn, especially with young people. Father has been faithful in providing students for our upcoming classes who have a passion to learn. Some subjects we will teach include fear, emotions, holidays, sports and university life. Some students already have great English skills, so it is practice for them. I am excited to see how these will go. Prayer for us in the heat, for friends traveling, for paperwork for our classes, and our language practice as we are immersed in the culture.
